Why? We are among those who cannot stand the Eat Bulaga! shows simply because we believe they are exploiting the masses to fuel their shows. These people who join their contests are being unconsciously subjected to degrading acts, acts that do not physically hurt yet disrespect the dignity of these human victims. When you come to think of it, it was these average Filipinos who put the people in Eat Bulaga! where they are now, famous and well-moneyed. All at the price of a degraded soul. We have witnessed subtle and not so subtle degradation of women.We have watched gays being treated as object of crude jokes. We have heard racist remarks and more jokes whenever a dark-skinned participant is present,live,on-the-air,nationwide. We, as TV audiences and Filipinos, have been treated as if our IQ's are those of the amoeba, when in fact, it is some of the show's personnel who show their own ignorance.  Eat Bulaga! may say that their studio contestants gave their consent to be treated as such, but that does not justify the act of degrading another human. In analogy, a 7-year old child consenting to an adult to have sex with her does not excuse the adult from being guilty of molestation.
